Baxter Research, Inc. (BRI) is a reliable, technically innovative, local quality wholesale research service in California. We primarily provide county criminal research to the background screening industry, but are experienced in a variety of other types of research as well. We are a member of the Public Record Retriever Network (PRRN), a founding and active member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and have been providing research services to the background screening industry for over 14 years.

We presently cover the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kern, Kings, Lake, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Placer, Sacramento, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tulare, Ventura and Yolo. We also conduct Workers’ Compensation searches for the State of California.

Our business model calls for established, well-trained and apprenticed professional research providers in our primary counties who are fully integrated with our system by means of a secure, wireless proprietary field-based interface.

In the background screening industry of today—which is increasingly concerned with professionalism, standards, data security and impending formal accreditation—BRI is committed to entrusting only experienced professional researchers to competently handle our in-court research, and by secure administration of the sensitive information therewith.

• We maintain a responsive, full time, fully staffed office to assist in servicing your account.

• We carry $2 million in Errors & Omissions Insurance, which coverage includes all of our researchers as well as general liability and data security breaches.

• We maintain an HR XML interface which can readily be used to integrate with our system, and so establish an electronic pathway directly to and from our professional researchers in the court.

• We are integrated with most of the leading System / Technology Providers to the background screening industry.

• Excepting court-imposed delays, our turn-around is generally 1-24 hours for initial search results, with a 1-6 hour potential turn-around for clients who are integrated with our system.

• We provide direct access to our system in real time, 24/7 via our secure web interface, which clients can use to check status, access general information about our services, get local court information, etc.
